Skipton Building Society is reducing the interest rates on its two and three-year fixed residential mortgages by up to 0.4 per cent.
The two-year residential fixes are now available at 2.59, 2.89 and 3.29 per cent, having previously been 2.99, 3.28 and 3.58 per cent respectively. The 3.29 per cent two-year fix mortgage comes with no application or completion fee.
Mortgages at a three-year fix have also been reduced. The products come with either a 3.46 or 3.65 per cent interest rate, reduced from 3.58 and 3.88 per cent respectively. The 3.65 per cent mortgage has no additional fees.
Skipton’s head of products Kris Brewster said its mortgages were now “even more attractive”.
“These latest reductions ensure they remain among the best value available as we continue to lend strongly in line with our commitment to helping people to achieve their homeownership aspirations.”
The two-year rates are fixed until March 31st 2016, while the three-year rates will remain unchanged until March 31st 2017, while overpayments of ten per cent per annum are permitted with no charge.
