Yorkshire Building Society is offering conveyancing costs help to all of its mortgage customers.
The organisation announced it will extend assistance with valuations and legal fees to each of its borrowers in a bid to relieve some of the financial stress involved when moving to a new home .
It explained all new and existing mortgage customers can take advantage of a free valuation and fee-assisted legal package when relocating – and claimed to be the only major lender providing help of this kind.
Jemma Smith, product manager at the Yorkshire, said the group recognises that buying a house or moving to a new dwelling can be an expensive and difficult experience for many.
The industry figure noted this new approach from the building society – which is the second biggest in the UK and has around 3.5 million members – should hopefully ease the monetary concerns of house movers, adding: “By taking responsibility for these things and by arranging the conveyancing we can also take away a little bit of the stress and give our customers one less thing to worry about.”
