Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks have extended their fee-free mortgage offer to July 31st 2012.
Designed to provide an added incentive for first-time buyers (FTBs) and householders hoping to remortgage or switch to the financial institutions, the deal means customers can stand to make a saving of up to £999.
The news represents the latest expansion of the offer, which was first introduced as an FTB incentive in May before being opened up to include homeowners a month later.
Steve Reid, retail director at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, noted the arrangement should help people locate the right home loan most suited to their individual needs.
Mr Reid explained the offer – which includes no arrangement fee – has proven very popular so far.
He stated: “Now the offer has been extended until the end of July we anticipate an even greater uptake from buyers who want to take advantage of this saving.”
The banks provided an example of the deal’s success with Terri Sparks and her fiance Andrew Johnson from Sheffield, who will be moving into a new three bedroom home after signing up to a Yorkshire Bank first-time buyer agreement at 95 per cent loan-to-value and a rate of 5.99 per cent.
