Just Mortgages is to recruit 25 mortgage advisers this year.
The independent high street mortgage broker, which has staff in Spicerhaart estate agency branches across the UK, aims to increase its workforce by around 25 per cent in 2013.
This is in response to a higher demand for mortgages and the company has underwritten more than £420 million worth of the loan products in the year to date.
Managing director Antony Lark said: “There has been an increasing appetite from lenders to lend money and interest rates are extremely competitive.
“This has all lead to an increased volume of potential buyer interest.”
He added the firm was looking to assist more people in entering the low-interest mortgage market and that it was important Just Mortgages offered a first class service to clients.
The news of the company’s expansion comes just weeks after it was announced the buy-to-let mortgage sector grew by £500 million year-on-year in the first quarter for 2013.
Lenders have also been boosted by the government’s help-to-buy scheme, which provides certain types of mortgages with a tax-payer funded guarantee.
