Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks announces mortgage fee offer

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks has launched a no-fee mortgage offer as a reward to customers looking to take out a mortgage before April 7th.
The move from the firm, which was announced yesterday (February 11th), will save people £999, which is the cost of the current re-mortgage arrangement fee. This sum will also be waived for new customers who are moving their mortgage and current account to the Banks.
Andrew Pearce, retail director for Clydesdale Bank, said the company is focused on rolling out a range of competitive products that meet the various needs of customers.
“We’re also helping new customers with free and half price arrangement fee offers to make the process as easy as possible,” he added.
Customers moving their mortgage from another lender are also set to benefit from 50 per cent off the arrangement fee, while they will not be required to pay any legal or valuation fees if they go through Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks’ own solicitors and valuers.
This comes after the institution revealed it is making good progress after reporting a pre-tax loss of £183 million for the 12 months to September 2012.
